Facing Evil

Genesis 50:20

Just as You did for Joseph, God, would You please turn what was intended for evil into good, for the saving of many lives.

Romans 8:38-39 *

Thank You, Lord, that You have made us more than conquerors through Christ. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

May we be wholly submitted to You, Lord. Thank You for Your promise that we can submit to You, resist the devil and he will flee from us.

Ephesians 6:10-13

May you be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. May you be fully covered in God's armor, prepared to resist the enemy, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm.

Thank You, Lord, that You are faithful; You will make us strong and guard us from the evil one.

1 Timothy 6:11-12 †

May you flee from what is evil and pursue a godly life, along with faith, love, patience, perseverance and gentleness. May you fight the good fight for which we believe. May you cling tightly to the eternal life, that God has given you, which you have confessed well before so many witnesses.

2 Timothy 4:18 †

Thank You, Lord, that You will deliver us safely from every evil attack and bring us safely to Your heavenly kingdom.

Hebrews 12:1-3 *

Help us to run with endurance the race that You have set before us. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He endured the cross, thinking of the joy set before Him. Help us to consider Him who endured such opposition from evil men, so that we will not grow weary and lose heart.
